After devoting 30 years to the art of landscape design Randy found a passion for fused glass. At first she dabbled with it but in 2005 Randy decided to take a glass ornament class in Portland, OR through the promptings of a friend. Randy fell in love with this medium of art.
In 2006 Randy and her husband moved to Newport, WA. It was then she purchased her first kiln. She enjoys a wide variety of glass pieces but for her the usable art is the most fun to create. Randy is often surprised when she is experimenting and she removes the glass from her kiln to see the final finished piece.
Watching people react to her glasswork is a joy as their responses vary. She considers her work to be a success when she sees them smile and a connection has been made between the glass and someone else who has fallen in love with the art of fused glass.
Randy participates in local art groups Evergreen Art Association and River Ridge Association of Fine Arts (RRAFA), as well as shows her glasswork in several galleries throughout the greater Spokane, WA area.
