LEONA FOX
Inspired at an early age by her mother and then her high school art teacher, Leona went to an art school where she was exposed to the masters and where she was able to pursue a wide range of art mediums as well as all of the basics of art; copper enameling in high school. Leona then went on to study art through her college years and abroad; sculpture, pottery, drawing, textiles fiber art, acrylics, oils, watercolor and pastels were added to her skills.
Leona worked as an art director and designer in Salt Lake City for 32 years. When she and her family moved to north Idaho in 2008 she started to paint full time. Leona currently paints with oils both in her studio and plein air, outside painting what she enjoys – nature, landscapes and florals.
