At a young age Joanne was both fascinated with and inspired by metal smithing. She would sit and watch as her father created graceful vessels from hunks of brass and steel. She has been creating her own treasures from silver and copper for over 12 years.
Joanne took a jewelry workshop at that time and has been hooked ever since. She continues to take more classes and workshops to improve her techniques, skills and style. She is the happiest when she is hammering or heating up a piece of metal in her studio.
By turning flat metal into bold and creative and three-dimensional pieces of jewelry Joanne displays her love for her creations. She likes to be able to make a statement with her jewelry and to see people enjoying it as well.
