Joanne was born and raised in Northern Puget Sound, Washington surrounded by Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mountains with the water and all its glory as its backdrop. While fishing with her Dad, Joanne loved watching the orcas, eagles and other wildlife. She has always had a love for the great outdoors and taking pictures of it all.

Since moving to Sandpoint 8 years ago, with her husband and recently retiring, she has had a greater interest and more time to pursue her passion. With a new Canon EOS 7D Mark 11 camera and 100x400 zoom lens in hand, Joanne began to take in the beauty of Sandpoint and the surrounding areas; the eagles, osprey, moose, elk and the incredible scenery.

Joanne is primarily self-taught with her camera, the exception being a landscape class held in Leavenworth, Washington with a world renowned photographer, Randall J Hodges.

She is currently printing her photos of eagles, moose, swans, elk, deer, sunsets and landscapes on metal or canvas. Others she has printed on archival paper and they are then framed in locally-made barn wood frames.

Joanne has always been an outdoor girl and she is so thankful and happy to be able to enjoy her time out in nature taking photos and sharing them with others.
