Lynette was quite young when she first became interested in fiber arts. It was her grandmother who had a pair of hand-spun and hand-knitted socks which intrigued Lynette enough to vow to someday create a garment from start to finish.
With that determination she dove into taking all sorts of classes with regards to that end: spinning, knitting and weaving as well as painting, color studies and a wide variety of art classes (Rosemaling – Norwegian Folk Painting; Zhostovo – Russian Painting; and other types of painting). Lynette has also been teaching classes relating to fiber arts.
Currently, Lynette is creating garments, accessories and other items through her skills of hand painting and spinning natural fibers that are then woven, felted or knitted.
